FIREWORK STORAGE AND INFORMATION ON SALE OF FIREWORKS

BRITISH STANDARDS
All Fireworks offered for sale in this catalogue are tested to comply with either BS7114: Part 2: 1988 or BS EN 15947:2010 as appropriate.

All recommended retail prices include VAT at 20% All goods are supplied subject to availability.

REGISTRATION
Before purchase of fireworks you are required under current legislation to register or licence your premises. Registration and licencing fees can
be obtained from your local issuing authority. The supplier will need proof of a current registration before goods, in excess of 50kg are supplied.

WEIGHT LIMITATIONS
Premises can register for up to 250kg NEC under the Storage of Explosives regulations. The method by which you store fireworks and the type of premises will have an effect on the total quantity you are able to keep. You should not automatically assume your premises are suitable to store the maximum amount.

FIREWORK REGULATIONS
The Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (formally DTI) state: Without a special “all year licence” retailers can only sell fireworks
at the following times: 15th October – 10th November and 26th – 31st December. The day of Diwalli and 3 days prior. The first day of the Chinese New Year and 3 days prior A poster, that should be provided by your supplier, relating to the illegality of under 18’s possessing fireworks, and must be displayed in full view of the buying public. It is now illegal to supply a firework that has a decibel level over 120 dB A-Imax. In the unlikely event of a retailer selling a quantity of fireworks in excess of 50kg to any one purchaser, a record must be kept of the name and address of the purchaser, plus weight of consignment.
